February
2007
The last three months have been non-stop!
After closing the retail
quilt shop in Hollis in December, I packed up all my toys and moved to
Amherst.
Since then I have been hard at work, trying to create a peaceful and
spacious new studio environment, where I look forward to many hours of
joyful creative efforts, for you and for myself, too.
Well, that new studio is now ready!
You can find
us at:
Quiltopia
10 Northern Blvd, Unit 14B
Amherst, NH
603-883-3181
For directions, click
here.
Offerings at the new studio include
the
following:
- Weekly sessions of open
studio time.
In open studio, you can get help with your current projects and enjoy
the company of other quilters - especially nice if you are a "solo"
quilter who would like to make some new friends who share your interest
in this art.
- Saturday "U.F.O."
workshops.
When you need a longer stretch of uninterrupted time to concentrate on
completing those bigger unfinished projects
- Customized private
lessons.
The schedule is flexible, and the subject matter is based on the
individual student's interests and skill level.
- "Stash-buster"
classes, to help you deal with that fabulous stash you
have accumulated, and to help reduce the guilt of buying more fabric!
- Small group classes on a
wide variety
of subjects and patterns. Just let me know what your group
wants to learn, and I'll do my best to arrange a class that serves your
needs.
- Fabric,
notions and other supplies to meet the needs of the
students. I am happy to special order any hard-to-find items for you as
well.

Please
note that
Quiltopia is no longer an open-to-the-public 5-days-a-week quilt
shop.
I welcome your visits, but PLEASE
call first, to
make sure I am both present and available.
During open studio time, and when I
am teaching
private
classes, I am working with students who have signed up in advance and
paid for a class; please respect their time and mine. Drop-ins
are
welcome at the end of scheduled open studio sessions.
Happy stitching -
Judy at Quiltopia
